Do you enjoy understanding how the components of a system fit together… and, above all, making sure everything works once it is assembled?

At Exonetik, you will feel the energy of a start-up combined with the momentum of a fast-growing high-technology company.

Here, you won’t only work on electrical and electronic circuits: you will directly contribute to developing innovative products by taking part in their integration, start-up and verification.

We are looking for someone rigorous, autonomous and structured, who enjoys working at the crossroads of electrical engineering, electronics, software, mechanics and verification/validation.

This position is for you if…

• You enjoy understanding how the different elements of a system fit together to form a functional product.
• You take pleasure in designing electrical and electronic circuits, as well as integrating and debugging them.
• You like moving from design to assembly, then to start-up.
• You enjoy working with laboratory equipment and investigating when a system does not behave as expected.
• You are comfortable working across several disciplines and collaborating with a mechanical team.
• You are rigorous in documenting your work and producing the deliverables needed for product development.
• You enjoy working as part of a team in an agile environment, where priorities can change.

You will be responsible for developing new products, from design through verification, with a particular focus on the integration phases. More specifically, you will:

• Design electrical and electronic circuits, carry out their integration and take part in debugging them;
• Produce electrical schematics and assemblies;
• Design and build electrical enclosures and test benches;
• Build and verify electrical assemblies and bring them up (power-on and start-up);
• Work closely with the mechanical team to integrate electronics into the product;
• Take part in selecting mechatronic components;
• Establish verification procedures and design test benches;
• Use the laboratory equipment needed to design, integrate and verify systems;
• Ensure developed products meet applicable standards, particularly in robotics, aerospace or automotive;
• Produce the work products required throughout the development process;
• Collaborate with the various teams to identify and solve problems encountered during integration.

The profile that will make us say “this is the one”

You have:

• A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and membership in the OIQ (Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec);
• More than 3 years of experience;
• Experience with V-model development processes for systems;
• Ability to work with laboratory equipment;
• Experience assembling electrical panels (an asset);
• Experience building electrical enclosures to industry standards (an asset);
• Excellent work methods, rigor, attention to detail and structure;
• Good autonomy, strong organizational skills and an ability to manage priorities;
• Ability to work effectively in a team in an agile environment.

What will truly make the difference

You enjoy seeing a system come to life: taking part in its integration, powering up assemblies, finding what does not work and making the adjustments needed to reach a robust, functional product.

At Exonetik, product development does not stop when the design is finished. It is when we integrate, test and demonstrate that everything really works that the product comes to life.

Why Exonetik?

At Exonetik, ideas quickly turn into prototypes… and prototypes become products.

You will work in a multidisciplinary team where collaboration, innovation and autonomy are part of everyday life. Your ideas will have a real impact on the technologies we develop.
